Designed by McGregor, the first fragrance from Mikimoto translates the poetry of the pearl into sculptural form. The bottle takes inspiration from a stylized oyster — a square vessel gently swelling at its core to suggest the orb within. Polished chrome plaques frame the glass body like luminous shells, their mirrored surfaces capturing light and movement in a play of reflection and depth. Technically complex to produce, the piece merges glass and metal with remarkable precision, embodying Mikimoto’s Japanese sensibility for purity, balance, and craftsmanship.
