About our Work
In 2017, McGregor was entrusted by the world-renowned house of Tiffany & Co. to reimagine one of the most intimate symbols of devotion — the engagement ring box. Long regarded as a quiet icon of the brand’s heritage, this small vessel carries immense emotional weight; it is the object that frames life’s most transformative gesture. McGregor’s reinterpretation sought to honor that legacy while introducing a new language of restraint and refinement. Conceived to adapt seamlessly across the full spectrum of Tiffany’s jewelry — from its storied Blue Book masterpieces to contemporary bespoke commissions — the design unifies the collection through proportion, tactility, and timeless poise. Each line was considered for longevity; every surface, an exercise in understated precision. In this work, McGregor captured the rare intersection of industrial design and sentiment — where the rigor of craft meets the tenderness of human ritual. To contribute to the living history of Tiffany & Co. was, for McGregor, a profound privilege: to shape not merely a container, but a moment — an heirloom object that continues to hold both brilliance and promise within one of the world’s most enduring legacies.
