McGregor’s design for the Pat McGrath Labs Mascara translates the brand’s signature codes into a more intimate, precision-driven object—where ritual, ornament, and performance converge. The elongated form is disciplined and architectural, its vertically fluted surface offering both tactility and control, while amplifying a sense of refined repetition. Anchoring the piece is a sculptural gilded emblem—an abstracted eye—wrapping the body like a piece of wearable jewelry, imbuing the object with symbolism and presence. This interplay of restraint and embellishment defines the design: deep lacquered black meeting luminous gold, precision meeting drama. Functionally, the form is engineered for balance and ergonomic ease, guiding the hand with quiet confidence. As with the foundation, the mascara becomes more than a vessel—it is a ritual instrument, a modern relic of beauty that bridges the ceremonial and the everyday, transforming a moment of application into an act of self-adornment.
