A study in color, material, and emotion, McGregor’s design for Prismologie reimagines the solid fragrance compact as both sculptural object and sensory ritual. Each refillable unit — cast in lustrous alloy zamak and formed with the soft geometry of an pillow — captures the tactile pleasure of touch and weight. The design pioneered a modular magnetic joining system, allowing one larger compact to connect seamlessly with two smaller companions, forming a bespoke scent trilogy. This innovation encouraged users to curate and layer their personal fragrance stories — a chromatic symphony of mood, metal, and memory. With each compact representing a distinct scent and elemental tone, the range bridges the functional and the ornamental, transforming portable fragrance into an elegant expression of individuality. Both technically refined and emotionally resonant, McGregor’s design established a new archetype for luxury mobility — a collectible, tactile keepsake designed to evolve with the wearer.
