Architectural in form yet intimate in intention, McGregor’s design for Jo Malone transforms scent diffusion into an act of sculptural utility. Hewn from solid marble and wrapped with a precision-milled aluminum ring handle, the object recalls both the purity of a monolith and the portability of a lantern. Its geometric body conceals a dual-cartridge system accessed through a folding front panel — a discreet mechanical gesture that reveals its technical sophistication. Tactile analogue controls replace the digital, offering a human tempo to fragrance curation. At once weighty and nomadic, the diffuser stands as a modern totem of ritual and design: an object that breathes technology through the quiet poetry of material and form.
