About our Work
In 2015, McGregor was commissioned by Wendy Iles to shape the visual identity and packaging for the ILES Formula hair care line—an opportunity to bring elegance, clarity, and conceptual restraint to a burgeoning luxury brand. Together with Jason Naylor, the approach was “minimally chic”: typography, form, and material cues composed in quiet harmony. The design language favors refined geometry, negative space, and subtle contrast—each box, label, tube an exercise in balance. The identity speaks to both performance and purity: no excess ornament, only precision. In its restraint, the packaging becomes an extension of ILES’s ethos—clean, efficacious, elevated. What might seem visually minimal is in fact purposefully deliberate, each graphic choice calibrated to embody discipline, craft, and the quiet confidence of a brand rooted in excellence.
