About our Work
McGregor’s Brutalist Chair explores the intersection of mass and precision, restraint and power. Carved from solid walnut, the form is reduced to its purest architectural expression—planes of warm timber bending gently to cradle the body, their quiet curves offset by the assertive clarity of polished stainless-steel arms. These tubular elements punctuate the composition like exclamation points of reflection, their mirrored surfaces amplifying contrast and control. The piece embodies a studied tension between organic material and industrial finish, between craft and structure. What remains is an object of deliberate simplicity: brutal in honesty, yet serene in proportion—a sculptural meditation on permanence, tactility, and the discipline of minimal form.
